Literally in the heart of America is Kansas, the state the Wizard of Oz put on the world map forever. The rectangular shaped state is virtually all undulating prairie and its fertile soils make it one of the major agricultural producers in the country; its ubiquitous sunflowers and grain crops swaying serenely in the gentle breezes. The Wheat Belt state is also infamous for its terrifying twisters which periodically cross the state. The states pleasant climate sometimes experiences extremes of cold and heat but is generally mild and warm. The proud country folk of Kansas are shaped by the soil and visitors will enjoy their hospitality and warmth. This is where you’ll find the small town USA in every town!
