Famous for its tasty potatoes the northern state has a population of around 1.5 million and enjoys a relatively mild climate year round. Winter brings snow and skiers with it to enjoy the states many resorts. The town of Rigby is the birthplace of television and in the states mountains stunning garnets are found. The quiet state of Idaho has magnificent scenery to enjoy, great fishing and numerous outdoor activities. The state has many lakes where visitors come to relax and re-energise in the great outdoors.

Things to do in Idaho:

Shoshone Falls, known as the Niagara of the West is actually higher than its namesake and is an amazing wonder on the Snake River.

Idaho Falls Mormon Temple is an amazingly built architectural drawcard well worth a look for its design as well as its serenity.

Lava Hot Springs was once a hit with local Indians and is now a favourite and therapeutic year round hotspot.

Six casinos are scattered around Idaho. So if you want to try your luck, you don’t need to wait till Las Vegas.

Follow the footsteps along the Lewis & Clark Trail and marvel at the same wonders that enthralled these adventurers two centuries ago.
